Up for auction is this very-nice, original, Batman TV-Soundtrack LP from 1966. 20th Century Fox TFM-3180 Mono label, 1966. This is the real-deal, with original cast voices and that terrific cheesecake cover. Recent estate find, not some dollar-bin reject. I'm not an audiophile or record expert/dealer, but have enjoyed buying and listening to vintage vinyl for almost 20 years now. I've sold a handful of LPs here on eBay over the years, as I come across them...and I don't buy or sell trashed LPs. I grade conservatively according to Goldmine's scale, and if a condition falls in-between two grades I grade to the lower.
The jacket/cover is a SUPERB VG+...many would grade it NM, but this is one of those examples of my aforementioned grading policy. I will not grade it NM-, since there's no such grade. It's quite borderline with a weak NM grade, however. No tape repairs. A few specks of ring wear on the lower front (car-hood area). No seam splits, but the bottom seam has a minor paper/slick split just to the right of the "TFM 3190" mark on the front. I don't want to fiddle with it, but under magnification it doesn't appear that the card-stock seam is split. Lastly, the edges and corners have a few minor bumps under magnified inspection. The back slick shows some sort of anomaly at the bottom of the cast list...which looks like a faint factory ink blemish. It's not pen or pencil, so I'm unsure what it is. Lastly, the cover is clean smelling with no musty or offensive odors.
The labels are NM with a single loop scuff, or two singular scuffs, on Side 2...and Side 1 is free of any scuffing, which is a clear indication this may have only one or two plays on Side 1. Vinyl retains nice sheen, strong static, and grades visually at a SUPERB VG+. No warp factor, fingerprints, or any concerning issues...just very minor age wear and inner-sleeve wear. The vinyl play-grades at NM with no obtrusive revolutions, especially being mostly a spoken-word recording. No skips. Run-in grooves are fairly quiet on each side. Expect a minor, random pop and tick from static, etc...but this is a darn-nice original survivor, which will be properly packed.
