Original 1965 first VINYL pressing in glorious *MONO* of a very rare WAILERS garage album that does not turn up often anymore in strong collectible condition...

The Wailers were one of Washington's most famous sixties bands and also gigged regularly in San Francisco in 1967. Of their several albums, Tall Cool One was the most successful commercially, and wasn't even their best, which figures.... It made No. 127 in the U.S. Album Charts back in 1964. Both the Out Of Our Tree and Outburst LPs from 1966 feature some fine garage sounds, though the band's repertoire was always varied and so difficult to label. Here their 1965 Wailers Everywhere album is an answer to the British Invasion which was hitting the States -- as the sound usually is reflected the influences of the Beatles and other early British Invasion stars like the Dave Clark Five, as well as some of the harmony rock of the Beach Boys. This was a farsighted strategy as far as career survival went, and for the most part "Wailers Everywhere" contains British Invasion-like harmony rockers, sounding very much like they've adapted their R&B-garage rock sound to the invasion UK fold, keeping the inspirtation & energy of their early-'60s records.

CONDITION: The thick cover from 53 years ago is beautiful and Mint ...hard to believe it is original - it is SO clean, like freshly unwrapped...Only a sealed copy would best this -- sharp corners and flawless!

The vinyl is all glossy and has some light little hairline scuffs/marks ... visually VG+, plays better than grade (mostly VG++ to EX)

      A cool addition to anyone's music library!
