Description
Like a Rolling Stone
The Soup Greens
1965
ca. 1965 garage band The Soup Greens 45 rpm record featuring "Like a Rolling Stone" and "That's Too Bad." Includes original paper sleeve. Punch-out center intact. South African first (and only) pressing. Stateside 45-JSS 1073. Note that The Soup Greens cover of "Like a Rolling Stone" was reissued in 1978 on the now cult classic LP "Pebbles, Vol. 1," which compiled 16 tracks of some of the best garage and underground singles of the 1960s. Since then, The Soup Greens, who started in a Brooklyn, New York basement in 1965, have attracted an intense and growing collector base. The USA issue is scarce; the South African issue is exceptionally rare.
CONDITION: Play tested. Light, superficial scratching. Ownership initials faintly scratched on both labels. Sleeve faded and wrinkled with inked notations on on front.
