We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. - Original MONO 1965 British pressing with eye-popping laminated colorful front cover. The jacket is much thicker not unlike USA coves, unusual for the normally thin fragile UK manufacturing.

In late 65/early 66 The Pretty Things were better at being The Rolling Stones than the Rolling Stones were. They were rawer, meaner, heavier, dirtier, and scarier to little old ladies of 1965 who are long-dead in our virus-ravaged global-warming baked twenty-first century world. Plus one of them had the unmitigated audacity to sport a beard back in the days when having a mop haircut was still seen as the height of youthful rebellion and insanity. Guitarist Dick Taylor was present in an early version of the Rolling Stones.
The Pretty Things were Gods in the hands of the Rolling Stones ... equally as great as ANYTHING the early STONES ever did, mixed with frantic rave-ups amid melodic infusions...many many bands tried to copy the PRETTY THINGS style & sound, but no one could ever equal them...and they were GODS within the Dutch "beat-scene" sixties, a scene with the likes of the Dutch OUTSIDERS, Group 1850, Q'65, Cuby & The Blizzards, and on & on.

This, the PRETTY THINGS played with swagger and attitude. Think early Stones but with more personality.
"GET THE PICTURE" creates the freak beat sound, thanks to their twisted mind and the experience achieved in the previous recording. They experiment with studio effects and various guitar pedals bringing them closer to psychedelia about to emerge. Highlights are solid up and down BOTH sides.
