Vintage Sounds to Make You Shiver 33 1/3 RPM microgroove vinyl LP record. This is a rare original SOMA Recording Company first edition (SOMA 1233) recorded at Kay Bank Studios in Minneapolis in 1964. Cool and weird piano-playing skeletons cover and record are matched. Side one has a continuous flow of frightening sounds titled "A Night in a Haunted House". Side 2 features many separate tracks including "Witch Laugh", Maniac at Work", "Banging Shutter" etc. A great special effects collector record that would also be a lot of fun to play at a Halloween party.
Both record and cover are in very good-plus condition. Record was not played much and there is no evidence of poor handling. There are a few light scratches on the multi-track side and one or two on the continuous play side. The vinyl is glossy. The record is flat with no warping. No wear on the labels and there are only a few spindle marks on the side one label. No writing or other marks. The cover shows just a tiny bit of wear top and center (see first photo). Not faded or stained, and there is no writing on the cover. Upper and lower right corners (opening side) are bumped a little and there are splits also on each- 1" on the upper right and 1 5/8" on the lower right. Last 2 photos show corner bumps/splits.
