We make every effort to mail all orders out Friday of each week. Original 1964 first pressing, of otherwise expensive legendary garage/surf monster on the obscure but collector respected "SOMA" Records out of Minnesota. Soma issued cool local garage 45's & Lp's in the mid sixties...One of their greatest was THE TRASHMEN & the legendary SURFIN' BIRD album! The album is one of the best released during the original period of great American rock 'n' roll (right before the Brits invaded) and all the tracks perfectly show just why this music was so much fun. Its an atmospheric release to be sure, drenched with fuzz and reverb that could only be big in its era. None of the other tracks are as demented as the title cut, but really, few songs are as out-there as "Surfin' Bird" (its still shocking how such an unhinged number could hit it big). Fans of American sixties untamed youth really need this one in their collection which takes on a basically unsound premise - a garage-surf band from Minnesota - adding a certifiably demented singer, then turn the reverb up to 11. Voila! The Trashmen rippin' it up!!

CONDITION: The cover is VERY strong and sturdy VG++, just slight wear starting (just a little!) been well taken care of...
The vinyl, well, it's been played VG(+) light scuffs, light marks, nothing deep, so plays way better than visual. Highly enjoyable!!!
