Description
THANK YOU FOR DROPPING BY GROOVY RECORDS
We'd love for you to visit our store here. We specialize in unique vinyl records and ultra hip antiques. And, some fun memorabilia, too. Keep in mind that we have a great shipping discount on multiple items, and, we are very concerned with your satisfaction and happiness.
For auction, you are bidding on one rare BLUE NOTE from 1961 ... 4068. Its the ultra rare Baby Face Willette, super organ player, from our personal collection. This is certainly one of the harder albums to find in any condition. We will rate this VG++ on vinyl and jacket. The jacket has aging and split of a couple inches on the closest side to the album slip top and bottom. Its not too bad for 50+ years old and having been a well loved album. Also, there are surface scratches including one noticeable one. The album played VERY WELL without noise, pop, hiss, or anything. Its okay for the jazz enthusiast and record collector. Its just superficial.
Original inner slip and glossy cover are included. One of the best album covers ever! We love Willette on Hammon, Jackson on sax is so tight, and Green never lets down on his smoking guitar. This is really one of our favorite jazz albums. We play them to ensure quality yet this one was a true gem. We can see why its HOT.
We are going to start this one VERY low considering that it is commanding hundreds of dollars when it presents its elusive self around the auction way. Highlights:
BABY FACE WILLETTE - BLUE NOTE 4068 - 1961 - MONO
* BN 4068 A and BN 4068 B are HAND ETCHED into the DEAD WAX on EITHER SIDE ... HOLY MOLY ... TEST? GRADING
(M) Perfect record with a very clean gloss intact without marks and generally excellent in all consideration. Very few records should be rated (M). (M-) Very light marks if any reduce this to mint minus. This is a great record for most record collectors. (VG+) Light scratches do appear; however, the record plays and only slight surface noise if any is heard.
