Description
For your consideration is this rare and exceptional 78 rpm record produced by the artist Little Walter on the Checker label in July 1959, one of the last 78 rpm records made in America. Side a) is Everything Gonna Be All Right and side b) is Back Track. Visually the record is in at least a C8:E+ condition, except for spindle bruising of the label on both sides and a couple of very light scuffs, so I'm calling it a C7:E, but the record could not be brighter and shinier.
Note: I recently acquired a small collection of mostly R&B 78's from the late 1950's, almost all of which are in C9:N- or better condition. The seller could not explain why they are in such exceptional condition, just that they were in her family, but I suspect that the family upgraded to a 45 rpm record player right when these records were purchased, and thus they never got played.
