Up for auction: A RARE vintage Jazz album: Miles Davis' "BAGS GROOVE" featuring Sonny Rollins, Milt Jackson, Thelonious Monk, Horace Silver, Percy Heath, Kenny Clarke. Released on PRESTIGE 7109 MONO. This seems to be a transition pressing from early 57'. The back cover has the Prestige address 447 West 50th street, NY. while the yellow and black Prestige labels have the Bergenfield, NJ address. The labels rate EX, clean, no stains, no signatures. The Jacket rates a strong VG+, still has great color, still shiny, edges are good, binder edge is readable, no tape, no signatures, only light wear! There is a sticker on the back cover, small split near top opening, light corner wear (see photos). The MICROGROOVE vinyl rates VG, is still fairly glossy, has light marks on both sides, nothing deep, has been PLAY TESTED, plays very good from start to finish with some light surface noise throughout, but is still an enjoyable listen! The music comes through heroically! Very decent for it's age of 56 years. Great jams from the group. A classic Jazz lp. There is NO RESERVE PRICE.
