Description

Up for auction is a very hard to find U.S. release of Eddie Cochran on Liberty label # 55056.Songs titled Sittin' In The Balcony on one side and has Dark Lonely Street on the other side.As you know Eddie Cochran 78s are extremely hard to find and it seems the ones released in the U.S are even harder to find that the UK ones. This ones pretty nice. The Sittin' In A Balcony side has extremely light to light scratches with about 5 scratches I can feel very lightly with fingernail.Has 4 small extremely light scuffs and also has groove wear please see picture. The Dark Lonely Street side has extremely light to light scratches with 4 scratches I can feel with fingernail. Also has about 6 to 7 extremely light to light scuffs and some groove wear also see picture. Also there is a small section near end of song on this side only where there appears to be some tiny pitting marks.I have taken 2 pictures of the same spot so please see pictures. It's not that major but they cause the record to make about 4 to 5 very light to light tick sounds.Plays with some static but that is to be expected for a 50 year old 78.Plays alot better if the treble is turned down a bit.Really is a gorgeous 78 that you have to see in person to see it's beauty as it looks better than the description sounds. Both labels in Beautiful shape also.If the buyer is not 100% satisfied I have a return for refund policy on all records I sell.I'll be listing a few other Rockabilly 78s including a Gene Vincent. Please check if interested.I also combine multiple auctions to save on shipping.I can ship this 78 anywhere in the U.S. for $5.00 Media rate. Please add $1.00 if insurance is desired.
