Tigers antiques offers this 1957 10 inch two sided DECCA Records 78 rpm recording of Walkin' After Midnight and A Poor Man's Roses by Patsy Cline. This is a black star label record it is DECCA No. 30221. The record is in Fine- condition with light age / handling wear including soiling, surface marks and light scratches. There are no hairlines, no needle run and no large needle digs. This is a Country / Blues record. I have aquired about 300 vintage 78 RPM records from a Wilmington, N.C. estate. It was owned by James H. [Jimmy] Mckoy the leader of the Mckoy Orchestra who was at one time owner of the Paramount Theater in Goldsboro, N.C., the St. Johns Tavern at 114 Orange St. in Wilmington, N.C. and part owner of a music shop also in wilmington. All the records are from the 1905-1939 era and the pieces include early vaudville, ragtime, jazz, jazz age, swing, big band, showtune, patriotic, spoken word and movie music. The Mckoy Orchestra was a Theatre, Dance Hall, Moving Picture and Concert Orchestra active from around 1915-1940. The record labels include Victor, Columbia, Decca, Silvertone, Brunswick and many other companies. Mckoy was well known in the Wilmington area for his large autograph collection and the entertainers that frequently visited the area to see him.
