Description
The Best of Muddy Waters. This is the 1957 Chess LP-1427 with the black label. Both jacket and record are in VG++ condition. There is very light ringwear to both front and back of the jacket. There are two tiny scuffs at the top of very small vertical ridges on the front. These ridges are minor manufacturing defects. There are extremely light spindlemarks. On one side there is a very light scratch which cannot be felt with a fingernail. This vintage album is part of a large fabulous collection containing many rare items in remarkably fine condition. We will be offering dozens of these carefully preserved records over the next few months. Please bookmark our seller name and continue to watch our auctions. The reference book we used for grading is Goldmine Record Album Price Guide, 4th Edition by Tim Neely. We have attempted to comment on all flaws that we see on the jacket and vinyl. The albums have been carefully stored for more than 20 years and have not been played during that time. We don't have access to a turntable now, so we are unable to assess their sound. The records are from the lifetime collection of a confirmed audiophile who treated them with extreme care. They were purchased by this individual as new records, not used. We will remove the records from their jackets before shipping and protect each piece separately.
