1956 Stravinsky Petrouchka complete Ballet from Mitropoulos & the NYPO. Philips ABL 3027 Maroon Minigroove 1st European issue. I was introduced to a very old lady quite a while back who I was told was moving house and wanted to sell her husbands record collection. There were a couple of surprises when I got there, first they were all in individual brown paper bags, protecting the outer sleeves. Secondly, they were all 50s Philips lps both 10 and 12 inch sized. I mentioned that I was surprised that he collected only Philips, and she said, no, he worked at Philips as a chemist, and these were samples of his finished product. Chemist? I asked, and she said, yes, he developed the polymer for the minigroove era lps. I am only sorry I do not remember her name so I could have added who he was. Anyway, these are all in lovely condition, and I am finally going to sell them after enjoying them myself on several mono carts as I have far too many records. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water.
This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
