Description

  1. Here is a RARE 1956 ELVIS PRESLEY EP  extended play 45 rpm featuring songs written by Carl Perkins, Ray Charles, Little Richard,  These songs are highlights from Elvis Presley's 1956 debut album "Elvis Presley", on RCA 1254 MONO.  In 2003 Rolling Stone ranked this album #56 of the 500 greatest albums of all time. Many consider this album to be Elvis at his best with backing from Scotty Moore on Guitar and Bill Black on bass!   This original EP pressing released 1956 on RCA records  EPA 747.  

The vinyl grades VG, lots of light marks and sleeve wear but plays well from start to finish. Very good sound quality with some light surface noise and a few errant light pops. Elvis still comes through great! 

 

The cover rates VG with taped seams. Nice portrait of Elvis with minimal ring wear.There are two small tears approx 1/4" at the right center of the front cardboard and slick at record opening. . You have to look hard to see it. No signatures or writing. Cool old Elvis relic!  (see all photos)
