Description

1956 - ELVIS PRESLEY ULTRA-RARE BELGIUM EP LOVE ME TENDER + 3 RCA BLUE LABEL DISEL

Recently I have been extremely lucky to find an incredible lot of Elvis Presley 50’s EP’s in pristine condition. Some of these EP’s are among the rarest and most sought after Elvis EPs in the world, including German and Belgian pressings.

You are bidding on a NM top copy of this legendary 1956 belgian pressing on the belgian DISEL Label.  This one in particular was the only DISEL ep to be released using a blue label (the others were black label)

This EP was the last one distributed in Belgium by Disel. After this one all the Belgian releases were printed by Teldec (Germany) and imported into Belgium. In the last  five years a few copies of this record have been auctioned with 500-600 $ final prices. Good luck to the winner of this auction !!!

RCA EPA-4006 45 RPM

Year: 1956

Face A: Love me tender / Let me

Face B: Poor boy / We’re gonna move

Cover M-

Vinyl EX-

Label EX+ Has a small original 50’s stamp sticker (see photo)

Cover is laminated both sides (Note this is a first edition, not a reissue). It has no wrinkles, no bent corners, no writings, no signatures and the plastic is in perfect condition. The vinyl has a couple of minor hairline marks but apart from that it is almost like new.

This is a TOP COPY seen once in a lifetime. I have been an Elvis collector for more than 25 years and had never seen this record in such good condition.

------------------------

In 1952 Belgian record label boss Willy Pelgrims de Bigard started Dureco, when he took over the Omega-agency from Willem & Anton Brandsteder.
He was involved with the management of Fonior, which released the Decca label in Belgium.
Decca was owned by Philips, but Fonior produced enough recordings of their own to need a Dutch affiliate. When he got the deal to distribute the RCA Victor label and RCA Victor and Decca were competing companies, it was decided to start a new distribution company called “Disel” (DisElectronics). Because of this, sister company Dureco got the rights to distribute RCA Victor in The Netherlands.
Stock was mainly imported from Belgium, made by Fonior and stating “Made in Belgium by Disel SA”.
