1957 Count Basie LP with same title on RCA Victor - LPM1112

Early example of Andy Warhol's record cover art

Cover picture in very good + condition with some light wear due to age (can probably be cleaned). The top seam is split and there is light flaking on the spine. There is also a small defect in the RCA logo at top right where a price label has been removed.

The record is in VG++ to NM- condition and is a Canadian original pressing from 1955.

This Warhol protrait of Count Basie is interesting as it shows a transition in Warhol's technique from straight portraiting towards his characteristic "blotted line" drawings that made him famous in the mid fifties.
