The B side sure sounds like where Led Zeppelin got 'How Many More Years' from! Classic blues! Recommended!!
I have been collecting music for 45+ years now, starting when I was a paperboy in the DC area in the 1960's. Since then I've added to it from my world travels, estate sales, auctions, yard sales and sometimes just people I know getting rid of their "old" records! This is a part of that collection! Had a good question from an eBayer about fingernail scratches, pops & ticks and noise. Took some time to answer it and then forgot to click 'Post it so everyone can see it'. Here's the gist of my reply:
Rockin' Daddy: no fingernail scratches that I can feel. Noise level is fairly light towards the beginning and seems to drop off somewhat. Doesn't seem to have any pops or ticks, if so very light. It noways overpowers the music.
No Place To Go: at the 10-11:00 position there are 2 <1/2" light fingernails and at about the 7:00 position there is a <3/4" light fingernail scratch. There are some light pops and ticks and you have to listen to hear them, along with some light noise throughout the record. Again the noise is nowhere overpowering and, to me, you have to listen for it especially after the first half.
Both sides play through with no problems. There is no jumpimg, no skipping, no repeating. It sounds really good for a 55+ year old record. I hate to sell it, now that I've cleaned it 3X it seems to sound better and better!! It might be a problem if you crank it to 11, I rarely go higher than 4 these days.
