Up for auction is a Red Vinyl Vee-Jay Label 45 RPM #105 from 1953. This is Jimmy Reed's second Vee-Jay release with Side A being I Found My Baby and Side B is Jimmies Boogie. This record was released on Black & Red Vinyl with the Red Vinyl being very scarce and hard to find. The record is in excellent condition. There are a few scuffs on the label as you can see in the pictures. Only the very lightest scratches can be detected on the tracks.
Mathis James "Jimmy" Reed (September 6, 1925 – August 29, 1976) was an American Blues musician and songwriter, notable for bringing his distinctive style of blues to mainstream audiences. Reed was a major player in the field of Electric Blues, as opposed to the more acoustic-based sound of many of his contemporaries. His music had a significant impact on many rock & Roll artists who followed, such as Elvis Presley, Billy Gibbons, Hank Williams, Jr., and The Rolling Stones. He is a member of the rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
