Description
vintage two-binder set of 12-inch 78 rpm record albums of the Italian opera “Aida” by Giuseppe Verdi.
This features the chorus and orchestra of the Opera House in Rome, and is conducted by Tullio Serafin.
Released in 1946 on RCA Victor Red Seal Records.
Each binder has 10 two-sided records for a total of 20 records.
The binders are in overall very good condition but do show some edge wear.
The spines are solid and all of the inner paper sleeve/pages are in excellent condition. The original owner wrote his name, purchase date, and purchase price on the first inner sleeve of each volume.
Shellac is in excellent condition with no visible defects.
There are many “highlight” versions of this classic opera, but this one is the full version.
In addition to the discs and sleeves, this listing also includes the original booklet that came with the sets as well as a few pieces of ephemera related to the opera. Please see photos for these items.
