"Mercury Summer Theater" Radio Show Transcription Disc. Approximately 11 1/2 minutes on this 16 inch, one sided, black lacquer acetate, 33 1/3 rpm disc. This disc was recorded for reference purposes only and not available to the general public, very rare
MERCURY SUMMER THEATER radio program from August 23, 1946 starring Orson Welles in the story "The Tell Tale Heart". This disc contains 11 1/2 of the 30 minute program, specifically the second half of the show and ends during the closing announcement - the disc ends with: "you have just heard Orson Welles in his Mercury production of The Tell Tale Heart. Mr. Welles will return in just a moment, but first let me remind you ..." and fades into closing commercial
Disc is in Excellent- condition with Excellent- sound, Beautiful Disc!
