These catalogues are from the “Vocalion†label that was a subsidiary of the Columbia recording company before the label was discontinued in 1940. These are some of the last catalogues issued before the labels’ dissolution.
Most are in good condition, but some have marks or checks beside the records that were chosen for purchase. This to me is interesting for the choices made by the person in 1939.
The catalogues have various categories such as: Dance, Vocal, Organ (Hammond Electric), Novelty Dance, Country Dance, Folk Songs, Swing, March, and Race. It is the latter of the categories (last image) that brings the most interest and a few of the hundreds of listed blues and novelty records are listed below
