Description
From 1919 it is the SHANNON FOUR with "ADESTE FIDELIS" (OH, COME, ALL YE FAITHFUL) and on the opposite side we have contralto HELEN CLARK with "HOLY CITY" on this 11.5-inch PATHE 29219, 78 rpm in EXCELLENT condition, vertical recording -- the SHANNON FOUR would become the REVELERS in the 1920s with an excellent cast of male vocalists of the time including The Revelers. The quartet, organized in 1918, performed under the name The Shannon Four before changing their name to The Revelers in 1925. The original Revelers were tenors with Frankly Baur, Lewis James, baritone Elliot Shaw, bass Wilfred Glenn and pianist Ed Smalle -- please see photos.
