M = MINT: Platte / Cover ist in jeder Beziehung - optisch und akustisch -in einem neuwertigen Zustand. Fremdgeräusche sind nicht vorhanden.

M  = MINT: The Record / Cover is in each way,optical and acoustical,like new. There is no surface noise of any kind.

VG = VERY GOOD: Die Platte ist gespielt und weist leichte Fremdgeräusche auf. Haarkratzer sind vorhanden,jedoch kaum hörbar. Das Cover weist leichte Abnutzungserscheinungen auf.

VG = VERY GOOD:The Record is used and has slight surface noise.Slight scratches may be seen,but only very hard to hear.The Cover shows slight traces of wear.

G = GOOD:Die Platte ist wiederholt gespielt worden.Hörbar sind Fremdgeräusche wie leichte Kratzer oder durch wiederholtes Abspielen entstandenes Grundrauschen.Dennoch ist eine mit G eingestufte Platte noch gut abspielbar und durchaus kaufenswert.Das Cover weist deutliche Abnutzungserscheinungen,kleine Risse oder Farbflecken auf.

G = GOOD:The record is well used.Surface noises show up like small scratches or hiss,that result from repeated listening Yet a G - record is still playable good and surly worth to be bought.The cover shows definite  wear like small tears or coulor spots.

W = WORN:Bei dieser Qualitätsstufe beginnen die schlechten Platten.Sie sind überdurchschnittlich abgespielt.Kratzer und Grundrauschen sind deutlich hörbar.Nur bei seltenen Stücken lohnt hier ein Kauf.Das Cover dieser Qualität stark beschädigt oftmalseingerissen oder stark verschmutzt.

W = WORN:Here starts the grading of records,that are in bad shape.They are very often played.Scratches,surface noises and hiss are clearly audible.A purchase of such record is worthwhile only in the case of a very rare record.The cover is strongly damaged,often torn or soiled.

+ / -Kürzel + (Plus) & - (Minus) :Sie werden in den obenstehenden Qualitäts -Stufen angehängt,wenn sich die Platte / Cover keiner der Qualitätsstufen eindeutig zuordnen läßt.
