Description
About This Record. This is an original U.S. white label promo stereo (of course; never was a mono one of these) copy of the 13th Floor Elevators Live LP from 1968 or so. It is a guaranteed original copy; it weighs 143 grams; it is not the flimsy lightweight copies that were pressed in the 70's which turn up from time to time. Sorry about the reserve, but it is very reasonable, the price I paid 15 years ago when I bought this at Amoeba Records in San Francisco. REAL tough to find legitimate wlp original versions of this. I'm only selling it because I am a 13th floor elevators fanatic and just upgraded my copy (the cover mainly). International Artists IALP 8 from Houston Texas!
Hans Pokora only gives this two psychedelic stars, but it merits much more (just like Easter Everywhere LP which he also only gives 2 stars to).
The Labels The labels are close to NM, but show some light spindle marks.
The Vinyl: Strong EX; real close to NM. Bright and shiny; light marks. No problems. Keeper copy! Weighs 143 grams and sounds great for a "live" recording of this era!
The Cover: The cover is a STRONG VG (a.k.a. EX-). No writing or seam splits but light wear, and slight corner dings, especially top left (although that is not so bad, but top seam is torn about one inch at corner. Some age marks. No writing or stickers or evidence thereof. Strong spine (with no words, of coursel).
