The bad news first on the vinyl:   it is VG-, with scratches throughout.  There are many clicks and pops, particularly on "You're Gonna Miss Me" & "Roller Coaster."  The label has significant writing on both labels.  On the plus side, however, the vinyl wear is of the type that doesn't ruin the listening experience.  The music is not distorted by groove wear--at least, not to any greatly discernible degree--and there aren't any really longer & louder repetitive pops.  Of course, there is no mention of "masterphonics" in the trail-off grooves.  I just listened to the whole album, and I found myself marveling once again on how truly great and full-on psychedelic this record is, rather than dwelling on the anomalies of the wear and tear to the wax.  And--it goes without saying, I think--the mono pressing is superior to the stereo.

Likewise, bad news first on the cover:  it too is VG-, with splits the entire length of the spine, 2/3 of the way across the top seam from the right, and 2" along the bottom from the left.  There is significant wear to the front cover, as can be seen in the picture.  On a positive note, the back cover has some aging and wear, but is pretty much intact, with no writing or other issues.

I normally wouldn't spend this much time describing a VG- record that we started at a $9.99 minimum bid, but this album has a lot of personal significance to me, and for someone who can't afford $400 or so for a mint mono original, this is a pretty damn cool thing.  This record just OOZES LSD...and--squashers of personal freedoms be damned!--that was a GOOD thing!
