13th Floor Elevators: "Easter Everywhere" 1967, USA/International Artists IALP #5. Disc looks M-, plays with a bit of light surface noise like all copies I've had, no way to upgrade this, I think! Cover is in shrink wrap, the original owner put pieces of clear tape on the shrink wrap at the pocket opening, and a split in the shrink along the top seam on the back cover was taped as well. It looks to me like this cover has been nicely preserved, even the metallic bronze finish on the front side is undamaged, it gets an EX to M- grade. This original issue also has the printed lyric sleeve. Totally killer second LP by these Texas acidheads has a surprisingly cohesive feel, it's still baffling how five guys this f*cked-up could manage to write and perform such an amazing set of songs. The rant on the opening cut "Slip Inside This House" is a pinnacle of acid imagery, no way did Jim Morrison even knock on the locked front door of the mansions these guys got naked in. Please, resist the temptation to ask me to transcribe all the trail-off ephemera; I know a real International Artists record when I hold one. If you want a beautiful original Easter Everywhere, now's your chance.
