Description
This is an overall fine U.S. pressing copy from an unofficial 1980 archival release of a 1966 live recording by Texas legends the 13th Floor Elevators. The recording is rather lo fi, but not so much that it's not enjoyable, and its historical import is substantial. It shows the group as a tight, fiery live act, notably on versions of "Roller Coaster" and the Kinks' "You Really Got Me." The set is evenly divided between covers and tracks from the group's first LP. This concert recording was first released in a tiny Italian pressing in 1978. This pressing represents the second time it was released, and the first time it saw anything like broad release. The jacket has lots of creasing on the front cover; corner and seam wear; light ring, spine, and edge wear; and light sticker damage on the front cover -- overall VG(+). Visually, the disc has a few fingerprints and some light scraping and scuffing. It pops a few times in track 1, side 1, and otherwise plays with some light surface noise -- overall EX(-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
