Description
Sleeve - VG Record - VG
Please note that all of our records are visually graded under strong light, unless otherwise stated.
Mint (M):
We only grade as mint where the record is brand new and sealed with no visible damage to the sleeve.
Near Mint (NM):
Sleeve: Will show very minor signs of storage/handling wear. It may have slight corner bumps/rub, ringwear and maybe very minor creasing. It will have no rips or splits.
Record: Will be in a new like condition. There will be no more than a couple of very light marks on the record face.
Excellent (EX):
Sleeve: Signs of wear will become a little more pronounced. There may be signs of stress at the seams which may be the beginnings of a split. There may minor graffiti on the sleeve or label.
Record: Will show signs of play but has been well looked after by the previous owner. It may show a few more light marks/scuffs. These marks won't be deep enough to be felt and there may be the odd click or crackle on playback. There may be slight warps that don't affect the sound.
Very Good (VG):
Sleeve: A VG sleeve will show more pronounced defects compared with an EX one. Seam splits may be more obvious or may be taped/show residue. It may also show some age/handling discolouration. The Laminate may be bubbled and may be written on.
Record: Wear and defects will be more obvious than EX with marks/scuffs deep enough to feel with a fingernail. Groove wear will also be more noticeable. There may be sound deterioration and surface noise will become more likely especially during quieter passages.
We don't sell records with a lower grade than VG unless it is incredibly rare.
