Holy Grail of Canadian jazz-funk......"1001 est cremazie" is actually the civic address of an established Montreal private post-secondary school (Collège André-Grasset....amusingly referred to as the "Grass" by students.....hence the private label, "Phono Grass"), and who's school project band recorded and privately released this obscure gem in 1975 under the tutalage of the then para-scholastic director Jean-Yves Quesnel.

Some killer dancefloor grooves here that rap & hip-hop DJ's still scramble for today.....the monster piano, bass, conga, drums, percussive vibes and scat-singing of tracks like "Le Roi Muffé" and "Bright Moments" are now legendary.
