Description

100% Pure Poison were a 9 piece soul group all serving servicemen with the American army based in Germany in the mid 1970`s. While in service they faked a pass from the base looking for a recording deal. Which led to an album on EMI International at the MIDEM studio as L & H productions from Chicago the album " 100% Pure Poison Coming Right At You" only ever released in the UK in 1974 with the "You Keep Coming Back"  track became a floor filler and very popular on the Northern Soul scene. Its value has continued to warrant a premium price down to its sheer rarity. This record is the original UK release from 1974 its condition although used is Near Mint clean label on either side the vinyl is glossy, not scratches or scuffs. Plays as good as brand new a building piano intro that builds to keep the dancers enthralled on the dance floor. The leader of the group Danny Leake played guitar, wrote the track and others on the album as well as performing production duties, later in his career he worked with Ian Levine on a number of Ian`s tracks, he has worked on productions with Janet Jackson and Stevie Wonder.
