THE STRING-A-LONGS: WHEELS/TELL THE WORLD (Warwick #603 PROMO 1st pressing, 1961): UNPLAYED MINT GEM 45 with CERTIFICATE of AUTHENTICITY!

...ABSOLUTE FINAL UPGRADE!

The String-A-Longs struck paydirt with their unforgettable #3 hit Wheels in 1961. Produced by Norman Petty at his legendary studio in Clovis, New Mexico, this is a hyper-rare UNPLAYED MINT 1960 1st pressing white label PROMO with original B-side Tell The World (2nd pressing flipside was changed).  The stock copy is common, because it was a big hit; the PROMO definitely isn't, especially with a CERTIFICATE of AUTHENTICITY verifying this 45 is from Norman's warehouse in Clovis.

Norman Petty (1927-1984) was most famous as producer for Buddy Holly & The Crickets, but he created a number of other hits as well. Norman's greatest commercial success was 1963's biggest-selling single Sugar Shack by JIMMY Gilmer & The Fireballs. This smashereeno was written by The String-A-Longs' Keith McCormack (1940-2015); that's Keith kneeling in the above photo.
